Books
Oyama: The Legend, The Legacy: I have this book in my personal collection. It was certainly an interesting read and opened my eyes to the history of Kyokushin and Sosai Mas Oyama. The book provides chronology of Sosai Mas Oyama and Kyokushinkai and provides details of the workings on Honbu and the organisation. Enjoyed the read that is for sure!
Mas Oyama's Complete Karate Course: Another book that i have. Review to come. Sorry!
DVD
Fighter in the Wind: Story about the start of Sosai Mas Oyama's life in Japan. I enjoyed the movie as "a movie". Great action and fight scenes and good music. There are people who will argue that the movie was not a direct representation of Sosai's life and those that complain that the Japanese actors say "Oyama" where as the subtitles say "Choi Bae-du", but if you watch this as a movie first and foremost you will enjoy it! The movie also features Japanese idol, Aya Hirayama (careful kids!) as Oyama's love interest - so can't be that bad!
Human Weapon: Their episode of Kyokushin Karate was with IKO1. Some excellent insight into training in Japan and the things that the Japanese fighters put themselves through in order to become the best in the world. The other episodes on other martial arts are great too!
Fight Quest: Their episode of Karate was with Kyokushin Union and was a little dissapointing as they didn't get pushed like the guys in Human Weapon. That being said, it was still an entertaining episode as with the rest of the series.
